I bought the Alexa show for my mother who is in the nursing home. It had been working fine until last Wednesday when I tried to drop in to visit. I can hear her and all that is going on fine but she cannot hear me. We have to communicate this way since no one is allowed in the nursing home. She is not able to see well enjoy to help me fix it and because if her stroke she can’t follow instructions very well. I have tried to get one of the aids to help but they don’t understand or have time to mess with it. Can you help me fix it remotely
We mentioned the solution for Echo Show no sound in this article. After following the solution if you facing the same issue, so we would suggest you to factory reset the echo show device. It can fix no sound issue.
Patti, I’ve been having the same issue with my dad. Very frustrating for everyone. I got an aide to show him how to unplug it and plug it back in. Then I keep a extension cord near my computer. When we have the problem, I unplug and plug back in the plug of the extension cable back into itself a few times. That’s usually enough to trigger his memory and he can do that himself. He doesn’t always understand, but it helps.
Also, suggesting factory reset is not a great option for everyone as it will mess up other settings such as pictures or, in our case, the phone book so he/staff can contact use.
I am having the same issue with my mom in a nursing home. Can’t visit and the echo show is the greatest thing to drop in…..but the voice cutting out is so frustrating. The aides do unplug and replug and that works, but my issue just recently seems to keep happening every day or two. There must be something that is causing this. I am on a different network from my mom . Can that have anything to do with it?
We were trying to reset a Philips hue smart bulb as it was not responding. We impaired the bulb from the echo show and attempted to have echo show locate to repair which was unsuccessful.. now alexa hears our commands but we can’t hear her. I tried unplugging and re plug but only left unplugged for about 5 seconds will try for a minute… no luck..,
