Set up failure is one of the reasons which can be resolved with the following steps. When you enter your wi-fi password, you need to wait for a while, because it needs time to set up. If you see that setup failure has occurred, then follow the following steps.

  • First, you should make sure if you have entered the correct WiFi password or not.
  • Make sure you are connecting to a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi. Furbo won’t connect to a 5ghz Wi-Fi.

Wrong Router Password

If you see that your Furbo is not connecting to wifi, then try this one.

  • You have to make sure you are entering a correct Wi-Fi password. Furbo can only be set up to normal household Wi-Fi connections that only ask for a password as security. Wi-Fi connections that require a username and password to connect may cause Furbo set up to fail. You need to check it.
  • So, you should try to begin using your home Wi-Fi router and try again.
  • After that do a hard reset on Furbo. If you see that the problem is prevailing still after step 2, then do a hard reset on your Furbo.
  • You will need to borrow a pin or a cleaned up paperclip to press the ‘reset’ button on the back of your Furbo. While Furbo is plugged in, press and hold the reset button for about 20 seconds until the colour of the light changes. Please stop for another minute until Furbo’s light turns into green. After that try to set up again.
  • If you see that your wifi has a WPS button, then when your Furbo will show green light status. After that start the setup process with the help of your Furbo application.

Something is wrong on your internet

If you see that the above process is not satisfactory, then try this one.

  • You should try to replug the Furbo near your WiFi router, for at least within 5 feet away, and try to re-setup. If this will not work, proceed to the next step.
  • Now, replug your Furbo. Unplug your Furbo and plug it back in. After that wait for your Furbo status light to turn to green light.
  • Now, you should restart your Smartphone. While waiting for your Furbo’s status light to turn green, turn off your smartphone’s Bluetooth and restart your smartphone. Once fully restarted, turn your Bluetooth back on.
  • You should also restart your home router. Try to set up again.
  • Do a hard reset on Furbo. If the issue is persisting after step 2, do a hard reset on your Furbo. You will be required to utilize a pin or a straightened paper clip to press the ‘reset’ button on the back of your Furbo.
  • While Furbo is plugged in, press and hold the reset button for about 20 to 25 seconds until the colour of the light changes. Please wait another minute until Furbo’s light turns green. Try to set up again.
  • If your WiFi router has a WPS button, then while your Furbo is on showing a green light status, press the WPS button on your router and start the setup process using your Furbo application.
  • Now, set up your Furbo by using your smartphone’s mobile hotspot. It is maybe due to router compatibility, to separate the problem go to set up your Furbo using your Smartphone’s data connection.
  • You should make sure to disconnect from your home Wi-fi on your smartphone and use your mobile data personal mobile hotspot.
  • If the setup is successful, then update your Furbo Dog Camera’s firmware.
  • Once the firmware is updated, you will need to re-setup your Furbo Dog Camera to your home Wi-Fi by doing the Reset WiFi. Go to Furbo settings > Reset Wi-Fi.
  • Now, tap the button below to go directly to the reset WiFi settings on your Furbo app.

  • You should replug your Furbo. Now unplug your Furbo and plug it back in. Wait for your Furbo status light to turn to green light.
  • Now, you should restart your Smartphone. While waiting for your Furbo’s status light to turn green, turn off your smartphone’s Bluetooth and restart your smartphone. Once fully restarted, turn your Bluetooth back on.
  • Now, you have to restart your home router. Try to set up again.
  • Do a hard reset on Furbo. If the issue is persisting after step 2, do a hard reset on your Furbo. You’ll need to use a pin or a straightened paper clip to press the ‘reset’ button on the back of your Furbo (see the image below). While Furbo is plugged in, press and hold the reset button for about 20 seconds. The uncoloured colour of the light changes. Please wait another minute until Furbo’s light turns green. Try to set up again.
